Caring for Your Wedding Skirt

Your bridal ensemble sets the tone for this magical occasion. From knee-high wonders to flowing maxi skirts, each style offers a unique opportunity to express your personal style and create a bridal look that is truly unforgettable. In this guide, we'll explore knee-high, midi, and maxi bridal skirts in different materials like tulle, chiffon, and satin, and provide essential tips on how to clean and store them to keep them looking flawless for your special day and beyond.

Storage

Knee-High Bridal Skirts:
Hang your knee-high skirt on a padded hanger to prevent wrinkles and maintain its shape. Store it in a breathable garment bag to protect it from dust and light.

Midi Bridal Skirts:
Lay your midi skirt flat or loosely rolled to prevent creasing. Store it in a garment bag to protect it from dust and light, and avoid hanging it for extended periods to prevent stretching.

Maxi Bridal Skirts:
Lay your maxi skirt flat in a garment bag to prevent crushing and maintain its shape. Avoid hanging it for extended periods, as this can cause stretching and distortion.

Cleaning

General rules:

  1. Clean the skirts softly, do not rub too harsh.
  2. Always test a small, inconspicuous area first.
  3. Allow the skirts to air dry. We discourage the use of a dryer. Don’t speed drying progress up with any additional heat,

Materials: Tulle, Chiffon, and Satin:

  • Tulle: Spot clean stains with a mild detergent and cold water. Gently steam to remove wrinkles and store in a garment bag to protect it from dust and light.
  • Chiffon: Hand wash gently with a mild detergent and cold water, and hang to air dry. Store flat or loosely rolled in a garment bag to prevent creasing.
  • Satin: Dry clean to maintain its luster and smooth texture. Store flat in a garment bag to prevent crushing and protect it from dust and light.

By following these tips for cleaning and storing your bridal skirts, you can ensure that they remain flawless and ready to make a statement on your special day. Embrace your unique style and personality as you walk down the aisle in a skirt that reflects your individuality and celebrates your love story.
